Project Overview

This 36’×48’ fully insulated metal shop in Grapeview, Washington is a showcase of the craftsmanship that defines Probuilt Metal Buildings. Built in 2025, this 1,728-square-foot post-frame workshop combines bold, classic aesthetics with rock-solid Pacific Northwest functionality on a rural Mason County property.

The client needed a versatile, year-round-capable space for vehicle storage, equipment protection, and workshop use. Two large overhead doors provide drive-through capability for vehicles and equipment, while two walk-in entry doors offer convenient daily access. Four white-framed windows flood the interior with natural light, making the space comfortable and practical whether used as a shop, garage, or hobby room.

The striking barn-red vertical metal siding with charcoal grey trim and a galvanized silver roof delivers the classic Pacific Northwest farm-shop aesthetic while providing decades of low-maintenance performance. The post-frame construction method ensures a strong, clear-span interior with no obstructing columns — every square foot of the 1,728 sq·ft floor plan is fully usable.

Full Insulation: A Smart Pacific Northwest Investment

Full insulation is among the highest-value upgrades for a Pacific Northwest shop. It keeps the workspace comfortable year-round regardless of outside temperatures, prevents condensation from damaging stored equipment and tools, and significantly reduces heating costs compared to uninsulated structures. For a working shop in Mason County’s wet, mild climate, insulation transforms the building from seasonal storage into a true year-round workspace.

Grapeview, WA — Mason County

Located along the shores of Case Inlet in Mason County, Grapeview is a rural community surrounded by the natural beauty of South Puget Sound. The area’s proximity to the water brings the classic Western Washington climate — heavy annual rainfall, mild winters, and occasional wind events — all of which this insulated metal shop is specifically engineered to handle. This build demonstrates why rural Mason County homeowners consistently choose post-frame metal construction for their workshop and storage needs.
